Every child is a seed waiting for the right ground.
Evergreen Minds builds classrooms, mentorships, and reading gardens in underserved communities — so a child’s curiosity has somewhere to grow, root, and reach the light.
From one reading circle under a mango tree to 214 learning sites across 9 regions.
We don’t build schools. We build the soil children learn in.
Most education charities measure success in buildings. We measure it in roots — the relationships, materials, and steady attention that let a child’s mind take hold and grow on its own terms.
That means training local teachers instead of flying in outsiders, stocking libraries in the languages children already speak, and staying in a community for a decade, not a photo-op. Growth that lasts is slow, and we’ve made peace with that.
Growth you can measure, not just describe.
Every figure below is audited annually and published in full in our impact report — including the numbers that didn’t move as much as we’d hoped.

Four programs, one root system.
Each program feeds the others — a child who eats well reads better; a trained teacher makes the library matter.
Literacy Grove
Mobile libraries and mother-tongue storybooks placed in classrooms, clinics, and homes across rural regions.
Early Roots
Pre-primary learning circles for ages 3–6, run by trained caregivers inside their own neighborhoods.
Digital Sprouts
Solar-powered learning tablets, preloaded and offline-ready, for schools without reliable power or internet.
Teacher Canopy
Year-round training, fair pay, and mentorship for local educators — the shade every classroom grows under.
Plant. Nurture. Flourish.
The same three stages, whether it’s a single child or an entire district — we don’t skip steps to move faster.
Plant
We spend the first year listening — mapping which languages, schedules, and needs the community already has, before a single brick is laid.
Nurture
Local teachers are hired and trained, materials are localized, and families are brought in as partners, not beneficiaries.
Flourish
After 3–5 years, the program is run entirely by the community. We stay as a funder and friend, not a permanent operator.

Three ways to help something grow.
Every path — money, time, or partnership — reaches the same classrooms.

Remote curriculum design, translation, and short-term teaching placements — a few hours a week is enough to start.
